Hello and greetings to all

Here is my report for the Southern Area & South Coast SSB Net, held on Thursday 3rd of September 2026

My location was Radio Corner, Ashdown 🌳 Forest in the county of East Sussex. The weather was cool, cloudy and windy and for the first time in months, I had to put a jacket on at the end of the night.

The net is on CEPT/FCC channel 39 (27.395 MHz) Lower Side Band (LSB) and my working conditions was the old, slightly off frequency Anytone AT-6666, powered by a car battery 🔋, sending about a maximum of 40 watts out a Solarcon A-99 antenna.

Start time for the net is scheduled at 20:30 🕣 +/- and finish anytime from 23:00 🕚 onwards UK time.

Greetings & welcome

This is my report for the Southern Area and South Coast SSB net held on Thursday 10th of September 2026.

Thank you all who called or checked in the net on a quiet night with no skip or ground wave and, stuck with it after I realised my "school boy" error of having the RF gain turned down for the first hour of the net
