Southern Area and South Coast SSB Net / Re: SSB Net
Last post by Razz229 - Apr 19, 2026, 01:34 PM
Hello & welcome

Here is my report for the Southern Area & South Coast SSB Net, sometimes called the "Southern Net", held on Thursday 16th of April.

The net is held almost every Thursday night, starting (hopefully) at 20:30 🕣 and finishing anytime from 23:00 🕙onwards local UK time.

My set up for the net was the Anytone AT-6666 (no amp, no power mic), powered by a car battery 🔋 and putting a maximum of 40 watts out a Solarcon A-99 antenna on a 3 meter pole.

The net can be found on channel 39 on the mid-block (FCC/CEPT allocation) or 27.395 MHz using LSB.

My location for the net was Radio Corner, Ashdown 🌳 Forest in the county of East Sussex. Which is in the Southeast Corner of the UK

Quote from: Jonny5's on Apr 18, 2026, 10:04 AMAnd a big thanks to you Tony, you were one of the main drivers for getting me to go for my licence, along with a couple of other people out there, who probably know who they are, along with the Chairman Ray and his Monday night PMR net, getting me back on the air, speaking with like minded people and learning a lot.

If anyone wants to give me a shout, I'm M7VTK

Thanks again.

Congratulations 🎉 and well done on getting your M7 licence
